Stephan:
By setting the point gap. Supposed to be nominally .020" for an
SPL-311, with a small tolerance I don't recall offhand--should get you
to about the middle of the prescribed range of about 50 degrees. I have
a Pertronics, now which doesn't allow adjustment of dwell angle since
there are no points. My dwell meter registers about 57 degrees with it.
