If the linkage between the pedal and the MC is too long the piston in the MC
won't move far enough (out) to open up the fluid return hole to let the brake
fluid that expands from heat retukrn to the resivoir.  This causes the pressure 
to slowly apply the brakes.  Letting the car sit will allow the fluid to release
the brakes for a short while.  add some slack to the linkage and you will 
probably
be alright.  Also, if there is still some air in the system it will also expand
if the linkage is not adjusted correctly.
