A couple weeks ago I was autocrossing my 2L at Blackhawk Farms and developed a
water leak. I have a leak from the weep hole under the pump. I borrowed a
used one from a friend until I can get one from the list. I put it in
yesterday and the results were the same. I have no idea if the used one was any
good when I started.
The main straight at Blackhawk is over 1/2 mile and I keep it in third up to 6K
rpm. Is it possible that I blew a head gasket and that is causing a blowout of
the waterpump seal? I do not have any extra pressure or bubbling in the rad.
The engine runs great, and I have no white smoke. In other words, no symptoms
other than two leaking waterpumps.
Is there such a thing as a rebuild kit for the seal. The bearings in both pumps
are fine?
Thanks in advance for the help.
