Richard commented about the alternator fan:

Darn it Richard! Now I have ANOTHER experiment I want to try out. SInce
the bent metal fan blades are pretty crude, and produce a lower pressure
area at the front the alternator... seems like a reverse rotation would
not be such a concern, as it will still produce a difference in pressure.
My question is how much of a difference.
Had the fan been shaped like the radiator fan, it would make a huge
difference.
Oh well I needed a good reason to go back and review some fluid
dynamics books. I find my mind has forgotten most of my math....
hee, hee, hee... the real reason I love the list. Odd ball questions
can send me a tangent for months. ;-)
Cheers,
Tom
