Okay, all this talk of snapped jackshafts has me concerned. Can anyone
address a little history behind all of this. Like - What bolt are we talking
about being replaced by a stud and why? Is there a need to address jackshaft
endplay during a rebuild or bearings, for that matter? What has caused
jackshafts to snap?
Seems to me it should have all that much stress unless there is a lack of
lubrication or the bearings get worn and allow it flex when loaded and
unloaded
The jackshaft in the U20 is a little unusual to be sure. Neccessary when
turning the engine into the ohc we all know and love as I remember.
Well, what's the deal?
