Have a machine shop replace the bolt, with a stud.
You need the jacksahft threaded back to the oil passage hole,
the stud should thread in to that location BUT NOT BLOCK THE
OIL HOLE.
In my mind I seem to recall a 7/16" x 3" stud. Not sure if
that is correct.
This "fix" was provided by a Bob Sharp Tech Tip when he was
racing the U20's. It is a rare failure to see the nose of the
jackshaft snap off, but when it does occur it seems most often
on engines that are rev'd to 8,000 rpm. I've only heard of
two "street" 2000's that have snapped the jackshaft.
Hopefully someone who has done this more recently will speak
up about the stud size.
