I am currently learning to weld in preparation for my work on my Sprite and
then a MGTD. At the suggestion of many friends, I have bought a Lincoln
flux-core wire welder (like a MIG, but no gas.) I have done a few welding
things around the house, and I'm better than before, but not yet up to body
quality. Practice practice practice! I may try my hand on a Radio Flyer
next (this seems to be a common restoration project!)
On another subject, I'm finally back online due to a voluntary employer
change! I've been off for a year now, so just a quick update...
I sold my BGT *sniff* as it didn't suit my needs and wasn't as fun as I'd
like. The Sprite STILL leans to the left, but I am trying to solve that.
And yes, she's still pale blue with a really odd black stripe. The TD is
still in 2 major groups in the garage; chassis on the left, body on the
right. Perhaps another year or two.
Michael (son) is almost two and starting to find he can influence events
with a single word -- NO. Laura (wife) is pregnant and due to deliver in
early April.
It's great to be back!!!!!! sf
