This sounds like good advice to clean the pipes in the system, but I
wouldn't do the conversion without replacing all the seals.  There
are alot of places for the old brake fluid to hide between the rubber
seals and the pistons on which the seals are mounted.  Replacing the
seals on the master cylinder is a PITA, but I expect that you will
end up rebuilding the units anyway in a couple of years if you don't
get the old fluid completely out.

I have silicone fluid in the brakes of my TR7.  It was changed over
by the PO.  I think that it was done professionally (i.e. as quick a job
as possible).  When I got the car, there was lots of corrosion around
the back brake cylinders...almost to the point that they didn't work
at all.  Since I have rebuilt the cylinders, I have not seen any
evidence of corrosion.
