I asked the owner this specific question.  The rear leaf springs are 
longitudinal.

No idea here, but my guess is no, based on his description that the 
axle sits above the frame rails.

He described the frame rails as standard rectangular steel tubing, 
approximately 3x4 inches.

Yes.
