I was told this is a friendly list and so I thought I'd introduce myself.

I live in columbus, Ohio with three MGs, one running a '70 B, black, very nice
and dependable. I bought it to have something to drive while I 'm restoring
the others. that was two years ago.

The others are TDs. The first was located in a garage locally. It had been
driven in there in about 1962 and never touched again. fortunately it was a
dirt floor garage and the car was in about the same condition as when it was
parked when I got it thirty years later.

The engine was not frozen, had oil in it and there was gas in the tank. But
rather than try to crank it up I thought I'd truck it home and clean it up
first. Well I started cleaning mud off the front suspension and desided a
littlle disassembly would make cleaning it up easier. In two weeks I had it
down to the frame, with the engine on a rack, and every thing else pretty much
disassembled. I also had a list o things that I wanted to replace. I started
looking for parts and found a disassembled parts car in the hands of a Corvette
nut. I could see enough of the parts I wanted to exceed the price he wanted
for the car, so I bought it for parts. It was TOTALLY disassembled and loose
in random boxes. As I went through the boxes I discovered that a lot of new
parts were included and the car was more than all there, so I abandoned the
idea that it was for parts for the first car, and started the parrallel
restoration of both of them.

I'm having fun, not hurrying,(its a HOBBY not a JOB -- don't ask when I'll be
done!) Meanwhile I found the B, not running in the hands of the original
owner. I bought it right (he wanted a good home for it) and found the only
problem was the fuel system. A new tank, fuel lines and pump solved that and a
carpet kit and dash board brought it back to very nice condition.

I drive it all summer (I've a '66 Dodge Charger for bad weather) and really
enjoy it.

I could use a lttle encouragement to work harder on the TDs! (For example, I
could be polishing brass instead of fooling around on the network.
