Re: removing finish I don't know if this will work but... I restore antiques (furniture that is) and an old trick to removing veneer is to soak it it vinegar. This softens the glue. In fact, I have a feeling this won't work, so I would abandon the 'safe' 3m stuf f and attack it with stripeeze 'nasty slime'...I'm sure NOTHING can stand up to that! Marcus PS. If the dash is flat...i.e. no bends etc, you could take it to a woodwork shop and get it planed off for a couple of bucks...saves tedious sanding |
