I had a note in here a while ago asking for some advice on freeing up
frozen caliper pistons. I have two front MGA calipers from a 1960 car that
were sitting outside on a car for 12 years. I was very doubtfull of saving
them. I ended up using a front hose to put a grease fitting on to try the
grease gun method someone had mentioned. After attaching the fitting I was
shocked to see the pistons move. I managed to get all 4 pistons out without
having to split the calipers. I would recommend this method to anyone in a
similar situation. These calipers were probably as bad as they get and I had
little problem with them. Thanks to all for the advice.
