The HS6 is supposed to be one of the hot setups. TriumphTune sells an
adapter plate to mount them on the stock intake manifold (I have a
spare that I'd be happy to sell you; I ended up with two pairs instead
of just two). It's one of the combinations I'd like to try. I haven't
looked very hard for the carbs yet, but I figure calling Joe Curto
wouldn't be a bad place to start. (You can order/buy shorter dashpots;
most everything is exchangable on an SU.) Clearance will likely be
tight, but doable, just make sure your engine mounts are new and tight,
and possibly raise the front of the bonnet at the hings.
Or, you could just look for adjustable ZS 150s from an earlier GT6.
Webers are certainly sexier, but a new Weber setup will cost you over
$1200, I'd guess, and you may still have fit problems. Ordering new
HS6s from Triumphtune should be about a third of that.
