Never having seen a Peerless, yet knowing it was built on TR3

Speaking of which, my folks had a Doretti when I was a little tyke. Probably
where I got my taste in furrin cars. My mom (or is that me mum?) used to
take me to school in it. I remember sitting under the tonneau on cold
mornings. I have a small color photo of it. Perhaps I'll bring it to work
and scan it in for the archives on hoosier. Unfortunately, the fellow they
sold it to totalled it, I believe. This would have been around 1958-1960 I
guess. I had the opportunity to buy one a couple years ago for about $10K
but didn't have the money laying around, or I might well have one today. Are
there any out there? What sort of price do they command?
What writing (if any) is available about Dorettis? My understanding is that
they were aluminum-bodied, built on TR-2 chassis. According to the fellow
with the one I couldn't afford, they are eligible for vintage racing. What a
gas that would be.
