Hmm. I don't remember that I had to drill any holes through the tank flange
itself. The existing holes were fine. I liked this, as I have no desire to
mess with a gas tank. However, mine was a Spridget, and Bugeyes may differ.

TILT!! DON'T DO THAT. Grade 5 is correct for this application. Grade 8 is
too hard, and will fracture under shear more easily than Grade 5. The only
advantage of Grade 8 is that they can be tightened more. I suggest Grade 5
with nylock nuts.
