Maybe we could just adopt a policy of taking flame fests offline, and
limiting postings to actual questions and answers, with the occaisional
story or two.  If someone continues to abuse whatever policy we adopt,
off the list they go...

Other mail lists follow these conventions, with good success.  Anytime
someone tries to start a flame-fest, or makes inappropriate postings,
they are beaten about the mailbox (directly, not via the mailing list)
until they relent.
