Imagine a brand-new XJ-S with this kind of crap on it. Last night,
while perusing the new (February) issue of "British Car," (which is
specially devoted to Jaguar), I happened upon the article about the
Lister XJ6 and XJ-S. The XJ6 looked pretty good with the subtle aero
effects, but the Lister folk went way too far in hanging junk off the
XJ-S. The rear spoiler is especially obscene, but the whole package
looks cheap and tawdry.
That ironic thing is that, like the cheap neon stuff, attention is
called to the vehicle, but unlike the cheap stuff, real money and
labor were actually invested in this eyesore. I'm not sure which is
worse.
