A similar problem happened to my Spitfire. Sometimes they would blink
knda slow, sometimes normal, sometimes not at all. But the brake lights
also did the same thing. I tore the assemblies all apart, cleaned them up,
replaced the flasher, etc.. After much frustration, I finally ripped the
interior out to trace every inch of the rear harness. took out the seats,
rollbar, carpet, and so forth. Lo and behold, *IN* the bolt hole for one end
of the roll bar was a schrunched up mass of wire. The guy who put the bar in
bolted the thing right *through* the harness!!!!!!!!!
