I have used both on my Lotus 'eclat with Zenith-Strombergs 175 CD 2SE's which
feed two cylinders each from one carb, i.e. the intake manifold from the carbs
is built that way and does not split off into four intakes.

The unisyn only balances idle air flow through the carb.

You do not need more than one colortune kit, since you only do one cylinder
at a time. BTW, for the Lotus, it was only necessary to do two cylinders
due to the intake configuration - 1 and 3 or 1 and 4 vs 2 and 3 or 2 and 4.

The colortune was not hard to use in daylight - granted a shady tree would
help.
