Not at all, your car's been cannon fodder for a long time, John.

You are absolutely correct.
The time frame under discussion began in 1983.
After winning DP in 1980, 1981, and 1982, we had 205 pounds added for 1983.
We skipped the '84, '85, and '86 events. Meanwhile in 1985 we were moved to
AP and had the 205 pounds removed. BUT, to equalize the situation, the
wizardly SEB put 200 pounds on the A Prepared Lotus Super 7. They soon
left for D Mod.
All of that was the beginning of the decline and fall of A
Prepared. It hit bottom in 1994 when there were only three entries showed
up, Bill Martin of Ridgecrest was first in his Europa and I was that third
place car, DFL. Can't recall who was second.
The PAC was charged with re-invigorating AP and Jim NMcKamey and friends
came up with the present format which allows E Mod cars, etc.
I know that's more than you wanted to know. <G> Maybe you were even being
facetious. But, bottom line, you are correct.
