Don gives some good advice for a single driver.
But, starting with two rested drivers, Topeka in two days and Bremerton in
one day is not that tough, even with a trailer. A few years back, for three
years in a row, we towed to Salina straight through, taking about 29-30
hours. Hard work, even with the passenger (co-drivers) grabbibg some winks
after 18-20 hours (can't sleep till then cause you're so "stoked"). Later in
the trip, those four hour stints really get long. Realized, after getting
some AAA data, not a safe thing to do. Seems like a high percentage of
freeway/Interstate accidents are due to driver fatigue (falling asleep).
I another vein, here's some conservative speed limit guides that have
resulted in
ticket-free (and tension-free) trips for many years (except in Oregon).
Whether towing or not, for the respective rig speed limits in many mid-west
and western state trips the following "real" speeds (accurately calibrate
your speedo) have escaped ticketing.
62 in a 55
65 in a 60
68 in a 65
73 in a 70 and
78 in a 75
The trick to having a reasonable chance of "survival" with even these
"conservative" speeds, when towing, is to drive in the right lane
whenever possible, always use turn signals and regularly make sure that more
than half the same-speed-limit vehicles on the road are passing you rather
than you passing them.
However, if you really (think you) have crap-table winning skills, you can
probable push-the-envelope a bit ---for a while, anyway.

BTW, I use the conservative speeds cause, over the years, my crap-table
"winning" skills have
resulted in 1-2 out of 10 wins, 2-3 break-evens and finally 5-6 loosing
trips to the casino. But, I'm really dumb, and keep going back again with
high hopes!
