those are original GT40's in the movie clips.

thats mikes spec cobra race car.  it has a legal roll cage and competes in a
spec road race class sanctioned by NASA.  there is a spec tire, motor (stock
mustang), wheels, etc.  you can complete a car for about $16K including
paint.  does mid 13 second quarter miles and handles pretty good with the
three link rear suspension.

my cobra was already registered when i bought it.  there is a new way to
register these types of cars, SB100, that allows you to choose the year of
the car it resembles or the year of the motor.

today i drove around a bit and took a friend to lunch with it.  True Street!
