Work your way back from the point at which you will accelerate. If there is
acceleration between each turn of the S, treat each one so you can accelerate
at the earliest point. If they are all the same speed until you accelerate
away from this mess, figure out the line that gets you on the gas out of the
last corner the earliest and figure out what is the most economical way to
get to that point, aimed the direction you want to go.
If you are going through a corner of 135-180 degrees, plan on a fairly long
apex, which will be the shortest route (This is what John Ames, Kevin Bailey
and PEter Raymond would all do). 90 degrees or less, and the distance you
travel seems less important...
