Try using Hawk Blues or something like that... they make a huge
difference in the amount of braking that you can do.  I literally
crumbled the stock pads on the S2000 to nothing but backing plates and
dust in 4 sessions at Laguna.  Hawk Blues withstood 4 full days at
buttonwillow and have 80% of their life left...
