That's what we have now. The rule expresses lots of intent with very little
detail. As a result people interpret it in widely varying ways. So, we are
proposing making it very clear. As soon as you make an exemption available,
everyone will think they fit in it.

Bordered single colors are specificaly allowed. What is being disallowed
are thing like stripes, fades, patterns, etc. A single color with a border
for contrast (note that it does not say a *single* border color). So you
should be fine.

The rule does not specify a single stroke. Just a minimum. That part of
the rule has not changed.

See the esteemed Mr. Sirota's earlier comments. Very eloquently put. Wish
I had that much tact on this subject. :-)

Given what you've said so far, I don't see the issue. Maybe a picture would
help.

And how do you do this uniformly across the nation when the rule is
currently mostly an "intent" rule? Without specifics, you cannot enforce
anything consistently.

And tech is where it is planned to be enforced, anyway. Not grid. Grid is
too late. And the starting line is even worse.

BTW, an underground movement within the touring national T&S staff has
already begin to inform some of the current offenders and get their id
fixed. So far, its getting some results.
