Well I will tell you what it takes: a firm set of rules! And if I'm not
mistaken, ST does not have that!
FP is not a new CATEGORY, just a new subset (or class) of an existing structure.
Street Touring is a CATEGORY unto itself, just like Stock, SP, Prepared and
Modified. It just hasn't evolved to have multiple classes within it's
structure.
Be patient my son.

Subject: RE: ST as a National Class (was ?!?!?!)
I couldn't find it in the rulebook but:
If a class is undersubscribed for 3 consecutive years, then it gets
eliminated
from National Competition.
Would it then make sense that a new class has to demonstrate a proper
subscription level for those same 3 years?
Just my thoughts...

Well, what about FP then?? Did they have the "proper" numbers for 3 years
in a row or did they just finally whine enough to get their class back?
Nothing personal, just curious what it takes to get a little respect around
here. And an "official" class with trophies and jackets.
