Only, I didn't feel robbed. When there are only three people in the class,
you know your odds going in. I was actually trying to win. :) I'm glad that
it was close at least. I certainly tried, but ultimately, to see the look on
Linda Shelton's face after winning, after all her years of trying and
finally succeeding, I figured everything happened the way it was supposed
to. She certainly deserved it, and I don't feel like I missed out on
anything. It was such fun trying. She's a great sport, by the way, and so is
Mary Wentzel. That was a good year for Katie. A nice memory. Things you feel
like you lose one year, you gain back in others. It all evens out. I like
our trophy awarding structure the way it is.
