They are made overseas, mostly China. I will not buy Chinese made tools of
any kind.
The few I have tried sucked big time. I like Craftsman except for their
ratchets.
The ratchet mechanisms don't work well at all. SnapOns are nice but are
still
WAY overpriced. Husky brand sold at Home Depot isn't bad and priced similar
to
the Craftsman stuff. SK is good also. You WILL notice the difference between
any of the above and the typical overseas stuff. If you get Craftsman in a
complete tool kit, they can be really cheap to buy.

Do any of you use or have you used the Pittsburgh brand of tools sold in
many places including Harbor Freight?

I need some new hand tools. I know you get what you pay for and quality
tools really make a job easier but will I really notice the difference
between these tools and the likes of Craftsman, SK, Snap On, etc. Are the
higher priced tools that much better or more durable?

Please pass along some opinions as I need to replace some really cheap
inherited tools and beef up on my collection of quality tools.

Thanks,

Jason S.
