I think the reason C4s have been faster than C5s is is mainly
due to the lack of development time on the C5s. Remember,
a non-Z51, automatic C5 with stock shocks trophied at
Nationals last year and was fast all year in the Pro Solo series.
What's a new C5 hardtop, with more torque, less weight,
Z51 suspension, and go-fast shocks capable of?
IMO, a good argument could be made to put the regular C5s
in with the C4s (including the ZR1!) in S2, but I'd think the ZO6
should definitely be in S1 - take a C5, pump up the hp and torque,
lighten it, give it wider wheels and more aggressive suspension and
gearing........you're right, it does sound good on paper! :-)
