My Miata rain experience so far has been only one event, which I ran on my
street tires (Dunlop SP8000's, if you're interested; at the time they had
~500 miles on them including about two hours at Sears Point). The car
wasn't really terrible, but since it was a "seat time only" event for me I
used it to probe the limits. It sure was fun coming out of those sweepers
sideways!
Of course, the real test for me will be running in the rain on autocross
tires. My street tires are mounted on illegal wheels (for a '90-'93 CS
Miata, anyway). Guess I shoulda run CSP that day, but I lost anyway.
