OK Kids. I'm a little confused here?
On page F-9 of the January issue, (year 2000) SportsCar states.
As per the provisions of Section 4.7 of the SoloII Rules, the SCCA membership
is
notified that A Modified (AM) did not reach the minimum class participation
required
by the section for 1999. If the minimum participation levels are not reached
in 2000,
the class is subject to consolidation or reconstructing.
It is the hope of the SEB that this class of ultimate Solo vehicle creativity
will rebound in 2000 above the minimum levels.
Ok heres some of my thoughts.
1. Consolidate? Too where? AM is the unlimited class. Almost anything goes.
2. If you try to combine AM with any other class it will probably kill off
the
class its combined with.
3. AM is the only class that doesn't use either a production or road race car
as a base.
Just something to think about!
