I agree with Jeff - anything you can do to reduce flex will help,
particularly when even one degree of change in alignment can really throw
off your handling. As a beneficial side effect, a rear strut tower brace
can also be an excellent place to hold your battery if you move it to the
trunk (don't try this in Stock class!) I don't know about other cars, but
there are at least a couple of braces for mine that incorporate a battery
mount into it. That's on the list of things to do.
