To me fast courses are a lot more fun than slow courses. The adrenaline
rush is stronger. The feeling of accomplishment is greater when you
realize you are still alive after the run, and that you narrowly cheated
permanent damage to your daily driver by wrapping it around a solid
object after a particularly lurid spin.
But this is not autocrossing. It is rallying. Appropriate safety
equipment must be used and the total loss of the vehicle must be
considered to be a possibility.
Besides, as Pat Kelly mentioned, it screws up the classing.
And Katie Kelly - find a job where things don't blow up on a regular
basis.
