Morning and Afternoon Sessions
Atlanta Region SCCA wants to help limit the amount of time our
competitors need to spend at an event. In order to accomplish this we
will be breaking our events into two sessions (morning and afternoon)
each comprising 2 run/work heats.
Competitors will still run/work with their own class. The "heat" classes
will be rotated each event (see the run/work schedule on the next page).
Morning Session competitors should be at the site from 8:00 am to 12:30
pm. Afternoon Session competitors should be at the site from 11:00 to
3:30 pm.
· Run/work heats (includes corresponding ladies classes) based on 1998
participation. ST classes will be worked in until a pattern of
participation develops. If a car has 2 open class entrants and 2 Ladies
class entrants the Ladies class entrants will run in the opposite group
in the same session.
Blue Group: SS, AS, FS, BSP, ESP, PRO
Red Group: BS, ASP, CSP, DSP,

· Morning Session
· Morning Registration and Tech from 8-9:30
· Work assignments will be given at registration
· Driver's meeting starts at 9:35
· Cars will be gridded by class for both morning heats
· Start morning session at 10 am sharp
· Drivers in both heats will leave their cars on grid until the end of
the morning session.
· The morning session should go from 10-12:30 or 1 depending on number of
entrants
· All cars need to be moved from grid immediately after the morning
session ends so that afternoon session drivers may grid their cars
· Afternoon Session
· Afternoon Registration and Tech from 11:00-12:30
· Work assignments will be given at registration
· Driver's meeting starts at 12:35
· Cars will be gridded by class for both afternoon heats
· Start afternoon session at approximately 1 pm
· Drivers in both heats will leave their cars on grid until the end of
the afternoon session.
· The afternoon session should go from 1-3:30 pm
· Afternoon Session entrants must help tear down the course after the end
of their session
· Needed changes in worker assignments (because of smaller number of
workers available with current numbers of entrants. This could change if
entries increase)
· All entrants must work during their session (includes set-up & Team
Solo members)
· Other adjustments
· Out of town, novice and "Time Only" entrants will be allowed to run in
either session, no matter what class they are in.
· Entrants who don't run at the same time as their class will run for
"Time Only" except for out-of-town guests
· Morning session entrants may enter the afternoon session for "Time
Only" if space allows and for an additional fee.
· "Time Only" entrants may enter both morning and afternoon sessions if
they pay the additional entry fees
