Was that birthday suit or bunny suit? This sounds very similar to what
Skip Barber does with their Formula Ford Race series. They take the best
of the best and put them in real racing scenarios to see how they would
perform. On the track and off the track. So, Ms. Whoever what happened
out there? "As I entered the first turn I thought I broke a nail. I took
off my glove to check and the next thing I knew corner workers were
running" or "The Clinique/Macy's/Goodyear/Ford/Panoz was running real well
just before the brakes went away. Not sure what happened yet but that
Clinique/Macy's/Goodyear/Ford/Panoz crew will have it back together for the
race. The Clinique/Macy's/Goodyear/Ford/Panoz is a really strong car and I
think it can win tomorrow.

I think that is what they mean by image....

Hey, I was reading up on the Women's Global GT Series. Did you know that
THREE of our very own, Shauna Marinus, Jean Kinser, and Belinda Endress
were selected? Isn't that great? Isn't it inspiring?

For those of you who don't know, Lynn St. James has started up a special
racing series for women. They'll drive these specially prepared Panoz
cars.

Well, I was speaking with an anonymous source, and she sounded very
excited about the whole thing, implying that this would be a good thing
for all women autocrossers to do.

So, they had these tryouts, and according to my anonymous source, 70
very talented women showed up from all over the world! She said she
couldn't believe all the talent she saw.

That in itself gives me goosebumps, because look what happens when you
give women a chance in a sport in which they used to make fun of women.
Apparently, and I might have this wrong, who ever wins this series gets
a full sponsorship in some really big race, but my Ace Reporter skills
have been overly taxed solving jigsaw puzzles on the Internet, so I
can't remember what the race is. I cannot WAIT to see what becomes of
this, and what will happen at the season's end. Personally, I find this
all very exciting, and never in my life would I have dreamed anything
like this would ever happen, and I'm so thrilled to see three of our own
are right there in the center of it all!

Anyway, apparently, you undergo a series of tests at the tryouts. How
you perform on the track is 50% of your score. They also test you for
your athletic ability, interview, and get this: image awareness.

Does anyone know what that's about?

Anyway, I think can handle the mental intensity of driving some strange
car on a track, even though I've never been on a track in my life. I
think I can bs myself through most interviews. I can do abdominal
crunches up the wazoo. And yes, I do have image awareness. I mean, I am
well aware of my image. Is that what they mean?

I just want to know: are pink bunny suits okay?!

Katie Kelly,

See? There's a darn good REASON I found that Clinique counter! And you
all laughed at me!
