I'm afraid so, announced on the UK newswires today that Peugeot is closing Ryton. See the attached link for the full story from the BBC. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/coventry_warwickshire/4919566.stm It quotes: "The plant turned out the Hillman Hunter, Sunbeam Alpine and Hillman Avenger cars. The Peugeot 309 and 405, and then the 309's successor, the 306, were all made at the plant. " It all went a bit downhill, after Chrysler, then Peugeot took over. Julian. |
