My intention was not to make huge profits off this. I have been restoring
cars for over 40 years and I always buy every type of restoration guide
available for my various cars, but the ones that are the most valuable to me
are the ones that show close-up archive pictures, because I KNOW those are
accurate depictions of what the cars actually looked like when new, and I
always try to restore my cars to how they left the factory. I would have
gladly paid $50 (or more) for a book that shows pictures of every detail of
the various cars I've restored. It certainly would have made the
restorations a lot easier. For those who are familiar with the book
publishing business, $50 for a book like this would probably net me less
than $5 profit per book. If it wasn't for something I enjoyed doing, I
certainly wouldn't even consider this type of project.
