At the top of the face, it reads:  CE 3112/01.  Here are a couple of shots I
took (the previous one was the Ebay shot):

I guess Smiths made these for just about everything, but knowing exactly
which car would be neat.

Bill, Can you reveal the code letters on the dial.

May be CE or CTExxxx/yy style.
Some of us have Smiths catalogs.

Looks to me pre 60 with the Made in England as later clocks have Made in UK

And who knows, it might now be one of higher value than an Alpine clock.
