Well, that's an argument too. But, the chemicals do evaporate and sand does not.
One important step with chemical stripping is washing the body with clean water.
This removes any remaining chemicals left on the body by the dipping process.
After you get it dry it helps to take a torch and heat the seams where the metal
joints are. Doing this will remove trapped water in the seams. I've never had a
problem with trapped pockets of chemicals or water in a body. These cars seem to
drain very well. - Ian
