I recently visited a company in Irwin, Pa called Extrude Hone. This company
has a patented method of polishing the intake ports. The process is simple.
By using hydraulic cylinders, they force a polymer impregnated with grinding
grit back and forth under high pressure through the ports leaving a
mirror-like finish in the manifold. Many racing engine builders send their
intakes to them for polishing. If anyone is interested in getting a price,
the General Sales Manager's name is Harry Kline. Their number is
1-800-367-1109.

put a scale on the one that shows the head material removal so that it can
used as a 1 to 1 template.
