My car doesn't have the shims. When I asked at the local brake supplier they
laughed at my chances of buying any here (Australia), but suggested the
anti-squeal goo.
If I can get the pads out, I will have to try harder to find the shims. I
was going to cut my own out of brass sheet, but the goo seemed much easier
(sigh).
