Just checking to make sure you set the air gap between the pickup and the ring 
that goes over the lobes.? You indicated that you installed it but you didn't 
mention setting that gap with the gap tool provided.? Just checking.

That sounds like it has possibilities, I'll try it tomorrow. Move the wires
clockwise and turn the distributor counter-clockwise?

I would move all the plug wires one hole on the cap and try again to set the
timing..
