Having chased around a driveline vibration, I would recommend finding a
friend with a TR6 and spend part of an afternoon swapping wheels and tires and
checking out your car with different wheels and tires. I have wires on my car
so that was not an option for me without changing studs, etc. In the end,
that was the issue and I solved it by having the tires shaved round.
If your U joints are all tight and up to snuff, I agree with Dick that I
don't think the problem lies in the propshaft balance.
I have also talked with a couple of guys who got rid of a vibration at speed
by refacing the hubs and removing runout there. Fronts are easy, rears are
more of a challenge.
