I have now been able to obtain from definitive data on TR6 emergency stopping distances. The car in question is a UK spec TR6PI with overdrive and wire wheels but the actual weight of the test car was not stated. Data as follows to the nearest whole unit of measurement: IMPERIAL 30mph - 0mph 30ft / 10yds 60mph - 0mph 162ft / 54yds 70mph - 0mph 210 ft / 70yds METRIC 48kph - 0kph 9 meter 96kph - 0kph 49 meter 113kph - 0kph 64 meter The source is Motor Trend magazine testing a 1971 model. No figures are given for repeatability Jonmac |
