Tom:
Same thing happened to me with the Moss seal, and my valence is
original.
I changed to the TRF seal, and the problem was resolved. I
noticed the minute I received the Moss seal that it was not as tall as
the original, and sure enough it did not seal.
As for the length, I just centered mine on the lip. Yes, it
neither reaches to the fenders nor does it fit on the smooth curved
portion of the valence, but it ends up somewhere in between. Sigh. I
just left it there as is. I suspect it is meant to fit on the curved
portion, and so you are intended to trim it to length, but I just left
it.

Subject: Forward Hood/Bonnet Seal
Hello,
I just got my grill back in and I'm installing Moss #680-375 "Front
Seal, Valence to Hood". Basically, it's the rubber weatherstrip that
runs above the grill/valence at the front of the hood. I had a couple of
questions:
1. The length of the seal seems odd. It's not quite long enough to go
from fender to fender, but too long to go on the one smooth curve
between the headlights. Is the seal supposed to be cut to fit the one
curve, or...? Can someone take a look under their hood for me, please?
2. The seal doesn't "seal". when I close the hood, the lip of the seal
goes up towards the hood, but doesn't quite make contact. Is this my
funky repro valence manifesting itself again? Is there a better seal
available from another vendor?
Thanks for your help, again.
Cheers, Tom Marincic
