Mitch:
I've done a lot of conversions on my TR250, but I always tell everyone the
two best things I've done are the hydraulic throw-out bearing and the rear
Infiniti diff. It's definitely a straightforward install and I couldn't
believe the performance of the limited slip from the first time I drove it.
Fast take-offs into R turns don't kick the rear end out anymore, just
forward power. Driving on slick roads is also less hazardous. I've had no
problems with well over 5000 miles on mine. I have the no-longer-offered
3.92 ratio unit installed, but I bought a 3.69 unit that I haven't put in
yet. I also have the HDVA tranny, so I'm looking forward to getting the
full cruising benefit of fewer rpm on the freeway.

Subject: Nissan R200 differential kit
Hi all,
I am interested in any feedback on the GoodParts Nissan differential kit
. After an unsuccessful differential rebuild I have decided to not beat
a dead horse. What ever I missed of failed to adjust will have to wait
for a rainy day when I'm curious, but now I want to drive & not worry
about being flatbeded from where ever.
From what I've read on Richards web site, it should be a quieter & more
competent part. I have the HVDA trany so shortening the driveshaft
should not be needed. At under $1,000 , it seems to be pretty close to
the price of an exchanged original TR diff. I was a little concerned
about a mention of a c-clip disengagement in the axle under hard cornering.
Any feed back from owners that have installed this and have miles under
their belt would be appreciated.
