Ron:
Is you slave push rod attached to the center hole in the cross
shaft lever?
Is your slave cylinder mounted on the REAR of the mounting plate
(the plate that attaches to the engine used to mount the slave
cylinder)?
If the answer to both questions is "yes" then you will need to
pull the tranny and find out what is wrong. Some possibilities:
1. Clutch fork pin broken upon installation, or improperly
installed.
2. Wrong bearing sleeve used for T/O bearing (TR4 instead of
TR6?)
3. Incorrect T/O bearing
4. Incorrect pressure plate
5. etc....
Let us know what you find,
Vance

Subject: TR6 clutch Woes
Let me beat a dead Horse!!! We have two instances of TR6 clutches
releasing
about 1/4" off the floor and not releasing enough to allow us to shift
into
1st and we get grinding going into reverse.
On both cars we get approximately 5/8" travel on the clutch arm. my car
has
new master, slave, clutch, TO bearing, good nylon clutch hose, new fork
pin
and fork, and I checked the crank end play to make sure it was in spec.
Still having problems!! Has anyone figured out this problem?
Thanks,
Ron Harrison
