SU question

I recently acquired a set of HS8 SU's and had a TR6 manifold enlarged to take
them.
In my haste, I didn't notice that they did not have any choke mechanism.

I am thinking that I could take the choke mechanism off a set on HS6 and put
them on the HS8.
Anybody have any knowledge on this one.
