Dick,
I will be changing the oil myself, for the first time, later this
week... I need the rains to go away. The smoke did have a slight
blue-ish haze to it. My first thought was I blew a seal or something
accelerating too hard. I will post back as soon as I get to work on her
again.
I feel like a bad father leaving her sitting with this problem still
lingering.
Thanks for all the replies.

Subject: Re: Oil Pressure
Ray---Please let the list know the outcome of the "low oil pressure".
The fact that it varies as the car accelerates and decelerates seems to
point to a low level of oil in the pan. (Oil moves away from the pump)
The "smoke" could be from the sudden
engine speed drop between gears, as vacuum could pull oil down the
valve guides. When back on the gas, this oil is consumed and come out
the tail pipe. As Bob L. mentioned, it would likely be blue in color.
