Hi,
That little TBI system is on my car. This spring I have done nothing
but drive around town and my right foot is mostly heavy during that
driving. The TBI system is still performing flawlessly but mileage is
about 22-23 around town. I have not taken an extended trip out on the
highway or back roads to see what mileage would be but I have no reason
to doubt the 29 mpg that I logged the last time I did. I have the
components to change from 4 speed to OD but havent done it yet. It will
be interesting to see the mileage on the highway once that is done.
Also, I dont believe the current GM computer used in my set-up will
work with triple carbs. That isnt to say that another computer wouldnt
be able to handle the task. The developer, Rick Patton, would be the
one to ask those type of questions to.
Cheers,
Aaron

The upgrade that is seriously interesting me is the very nice looking
EFI system
that somebody has put together using an insert to convert ZS carbs to
throttle-body injection. With gas at $1.02 a litre in Montreal,
getting 30 mpg
out of my car with increased performance and keeping the look almost
original
seems a very nice upgrade to me. If dollars permit, I was thinking of
buying R
Good's intake manifolds and putting three converted ZSs on the car to
keep that
new/old look.
Cheers,
Mark

Of course the beautiful Goodparts (NFI) Tri-carb manifold and polished
aluminum ram-air box with remote air filter get's plenty of oohs and
aahhs
too. :O)
At most car shows my cars color draws a crowd and then the display
under the
bonnet keeps them around a bit longer.
I was just in a GTO Club annual show with my 6 (personal invite, not a
ususal
event for my 6). There were plenty of American Hot Rods as well. The
hot
rodders loved my 6, they kept refeering to it as that little car with
tri-carbs and twice pipes. Those items also let it fit right in with
the GTO
crowd. Weird but fun. They also thought my lumpy idle and exhaust bark
was
pretty cool for such a "little" engine.
